It is not so easy to find an affordable 2 bedroom Costa Rica condo for sale in a great location. There are large condo buildings are popping up around Sabana Park everywhere. It is just like all those condo buildings that are going up in Panama City, they look beautiful, very city like, but who the heck is going to buy them? Most start at $450K. But just by sheer luck, I found this 2-bedroom and 2-bath condo for sale on the first floor, nice and clean environment, selling for just $10 under $135,000. This condo was built in 1989 and is located in a much nice neighborhood than most in this price range can ever be.
Most of the residential area on the southside of Sabana park was built in the 70's and many of these large homes were turned into offices before the large office centers were built in 1995. This has created lots and lots of small restaurants to cater to those working in the offices. The condo building where this apartment is located is on the outer edge of this area, right next to a large and well maintained city park. Those who have lived in a large city like Chicago, New York or London, will love to live in a place like this.

Traffic is not an issue if you buy this condominium, as you have easy access from San Jose or from Escazu, the airport is an easy drive and you will be 4 blocks away from the connection with what we call the "circumvalación" the road around San Jose. if you like to play tennis, this is walking distance to the Costa Rica Tennis Club. As for those difficult directions we have in Costa Rica, this one is very easy to find.
The gringo owner, now having seen enough of Costa Rica, bought this beautiful apartment just to have a great central location for his travels throughout the country and now wants his adventures to go elsewhere. He ripped the apartment apart and re-did everything, electrical, plumbing, floors, kitchens and bathrooms. The kitchen is one of the nicest I have seen in a long time in such a low priced apartment.

The condo building has 10 apartements total with a live-in guard, which is why the condo fee is only $80/month. As opposed to many buildings in San Jose, this one is well painted and in good shape. each apartment has one parking but there is also a street guard in case you need to park more cars on the street, its definitely safe enough to do so. But like most who live in a city, you won't even need a car because it is really easy to catch a taxi, which are cheap in Costa Rica. For a medical emergency, you are only 10 minutes from the Cima hospital and also 10 from the San Juan de Dios hospital.
The apartment is located on the first floor - on street level, so it is totally wheelchair accessible if needed. Only the storage area is downstairs and there is no elevator. You will find that most of your neighbors are locals, so you can practice your Spanish plenty.
If you are not looking to buy an apartment for your own use, this could be a very good investment as it will be very easy to find a tenant and get you an 8% ROI.
