From the 1st of December 2010, competition in the car insurance business will be more dynamic once Assa Insurance Company will have its debut in the market with its first product in this niche and will compete against Mapfre and the National Insurance Institute (INS).
"We received the approval of our policy just last Friday," said Rodrigo Peralta, commercial manager of Assa.
So, the payment of the marchamo and the proximity of December will be utilized by the three insurers to dispute the preference of car owners.
The INS initiated the pulse when made available to the public two complementary policies called "Civil Liability" and "Your life."
The first is an insurance that can be purchased by owners of light vehicles, cargo, light cargo and motor bikes. The coverage has a range of ¢ 20 million liability in damages to third parties. 
Additionally, the insurance "His life" covers accidental death of the occupants of the vehicle and pay up ¢ 6 million per person, plus funeral expenses. "The big sale comes after the 1st of December as Christmas bonuses are paid," said Silvia Pardo, deputy head of the INS personal insurance.
In addition, Mapfre Seguros e INS offer family plans in similar conditions. That is, make a 50% discount for two vehicles of the same family, or 55%, if three.
