The Retreat

This gorgeous home is nestled high on a mountain-top in one of the most exclusive safe and peaceful gated communities in Atenas. It is conveniently located within walking distance to the center of town and only a 35-minute drive from Juan Santamaria International airport.

This very private single-family home sleeps 6 people comfortably and offers 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms, a sparkling solar heated 30 ft pool, lovely landscaped grounds, and expansive outdoor living spaces where you can enjoy the beautiful valley and mountain views.

There is an amazing view deck with comfortable lounge seating, hovering over the mountain edge. Sit back and enjoy spectacular sunsets as well as sparkling city lights and the stars at night. A peaceful comfortable paradise to relax unwind and enjoy.

The home is very well appointed with a spacious well-stocked chef’s kitchen, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, breakfast bar, and a coffee station. The fully stocked laundry room has a full-size washer and dryer.

The kitchen opens up towards a long stretched covered patio with a large 10-seat outdoor dining table and a grilling station with a professional Weber gas BBQ.

The Master Suite has a King size bed, a huge walk-in his and her closet, a private en-suite bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub, and a separate shower and double sinks.

Two beautifully appointed guest rooms are separated by the second bathroom. One bedroom boasts a Queen size four-poster bed. The second bedroom can either be a King size bed or be separated into two twin-size beds.

The home has motion detecting security cameras, an alarm system, an electric driveway gate, Wi-FI and high-speed Internet, Smart TV, Bluetooth wireless speaker

Our property managers, a multilingual (English-Dutch-Spanish-German) couple from The Netherlands, are ready to welcome you and will do everything within their power to make your stay a great success. As an additional service to our house guests, they offer a fee-based airport pick-up and drop-off to help you avoid the potential hassles involved in the transitions into and out of your time in Costa Rica (something to particularly consider when you have night-time travel plans, but a nice comfort to have in any event). They also provide car rentals and tours to all corners of the country, including the Poas and Arenal volcanoes, La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a private Catamaran Sailing tour, a visit to a local Organic Coffee farm, all kinds of adventurous activities, and tours custom made to our guests’ requests throughout Costa Rica.

Everything is set up to your ease, from grocery service to having your fridge stocked with your favorite groceries upon arrival, or having a home-cooked meal ready for you on your arrival day, to a professional relaxing massage at the house. Our house managers are ready to serve.
